Terrible fridge multiple parts have broken

We have had this fridge for about 5 years now and it continues to break in places. The ice machine stopped working a long time ago. The shelves on the doors have completely cracked on the bottom and are not useable. Now the pieces holding together the vegetable bins have completely broken and the drawers no longer work. We are EXTREMELY disappointed with this product as it has been very defective. We are a household of two so I dont believe we are over-using it to the point of user error in it breaking.

Ive had it a few weeks. I didnt want or need the latest features and I thought the price was fair. Its not as substantial as my old one of 28 years. The plastic feels cheap and still has some untrimmed flashing. The description didnt say the stainless was fingerprint resistant and its certainly not.

Super angry about our LG Fridge/freezer. Only had it 16 months. Ice maker crapped out multiple times so we replaced the ice maker. That worked for about 2 months and doesnt work at all anymore. Apparently the freezer doesnt keep a consistent temperature. Waste of a lot of money.

It was only 7 months before the refrigerator would only cool to 52 on the highest setting and the ice maker wont dump the ice unless its reset each time. Also 0 is the coldest it will go. Im waiting on the only service provider in my area to squeeze me in for service before my warranty is up. On a positive note it looks good.

This was low budget buy for me because it was an emergency time where I had to replace my old refrigerator with this new Lg and do I love yes I do.. would I buy it again yes I will Im so satisfy with how it work.. my fan went out on it I called LG Customer service and they was on it. They send someone out right away to service my refrigerator with a new fan and its been running fine ever since. LG Thank you for your great customer service and your wonderful product. Deep refrigerator Great storage for small spaces

I bought the refrigerator in July 2024 from lowes during a fourth of July sale. The fridge works great during these first three weeks and we have no true complaints. The ice maker is a convenience we didnt previously have and we are very excited to have it and it is working really well. Im not sure we will ever be able to empty the large ice bucket. Some practical things weve noted is the fridge is very deep. In the previous top loaded GE fridge we had we could barely fit ice coffee and two gallons of milk in one row. I believe with this fridge we could easily stack those products in one row. Similar with the top freezer the depth allows for a lot more storage. Two draw backs of the unit is that the fridge sits really low as the freezer is taller than most top loaded models. Going from one to the other it is something we noticed. Its not a huge draw back but you certainly have to bend low to look in the fridge. Second thing is the door only has two shelves not 3. The shelves are deeper and bigger but the absence of a smaller very bottom shelf door shelf created a organization curve. Last is the stainless steel version we got loves fringer prints and wants to save them for forever. Seriously I think it may be competing with the moon on how long it can maintain its markings from humans. And last piece the front of the fridge is not magnetic which again not a big deal but certainly another learning curve.

Unreliable Refrigerator

Evaporator Fan Motor went bad lasted less than 2 years. Had to call the service person which they charged me $400 but no charge on the part $50. Root cause of the issue drain got froze leaving ice all over the freezer was the bad fan motor which LG shouldve covered the cost not by me. Unreliable product quality that dont even last 2 years couldve purchased the new one instead. Will not buy LG refrigerator again very disappointed. Will not even recommend to family and friends. I work in automotive industry and typically this type of bad parts are covered by the warranty. Unsure the warranty terms between LG and LGs suppliers but need to revisit test validation and should file warranty claim to the supplier not to the customer. However service person was very nice and friendly. I would give him 5 starts though.

I had to replace the refrigerator that was installed when my house was built. It was forty years old and had been a great refrigerator but it was getting past its time. It was making a variety of noises but still working. I knew it was about at its end. I got a new LG refrigerator and love it. When I first got it I keep going to check to see if it was working it is so quiet. I LOVE it.

Bought LG refrigerator with icemaker two weeks ago. Like the look of stainless steel door but impossible to keep fingermarks and other marks off door-looks awful. Would prefer outside door handles rather than recess in cooler/freezer to open door. No way to pause icemaker. ice sensor doesnt hold ice from falling if you try to raise sensor to up position-previous model I owned not LG you could raise ice sensor to a locked up position to pur ice on hold. Temp setting in refrigerator is at lowest level of intensity #1. Refrigerator thermometer I use still registers below freezing temps in refrigerator.

We have multiple locations that require a lot of tvs an appliances an such we love lg products but recently we have a motor coach we bought new with a lg refrigerator it acted up we lost a full load of food we were on vacation called customer service they sent a LG service technician out he replaced two parts and said its fixed four days later not cooling again called again an a week later an loss of another full load of food they sent out a very reputable service technician from the area were we was staying. This technician stated that the previous parts that were changed had NOTHING to do with the problem of our refrigerator the technician could find it hard to believe that he would have changed the parts that he did because it had nothing to do with the problem. Any way its up an running now I lost $650 in food an supposedly you are sending me a check for $300 not very happy we in total own 22 lg products Thanks JOHN

LG did not honor their warranty. We had to replace the whole evaporator. The shelving is Soddy and had to also be replaced. Please consider purchasing from a different company. You will be disappointed with LG.

I worst decision I ever made. I would give it a0 star but it wont let me.......DO NOT purchase this refrigerator. Mine will only be two years old Feb. 2024 and has been nothing but a nightmare. It started making very loud noises and banging noises. I called customer service they said defrost for 24hr then plug in 48hr and it should be ok well.... that didnt work. He said something was frozen. It has been a month and still not working correctly. either too cold or not cold enough. I tried calling CS back and was on hold for one hour then got disconnected. I havent had time to try calling back. I lost a lot of food because of this.

I bought this refrigerator a week and a half ago and the best one Ive ever had. Could not be happier with the look value and efficiency. Lowes made it easy to buy on Monday and have delivered on Tuesday.

Ok so we were rushed to find a replacement for our 22 year old square white 21 cu ft box fridge. Went to Costco and found this stainless 20 cu ft lg model on sale for $700 not too bad price? Ok so here is my review hang on tight: Got it home and set it up had to reverse the door hinges this is a very difficult process on this fridge did 2 others previously with no problems. Next problem there are no wheels on the front so you cant roll your fridge out or in to its spots not good. Next the dimensions are weird: the fridge is very narrow and very deep it makes it somewhat worthless for storage and if you attempt to utilize all of that depth you will just frustrate yourself not to mention you will lose your stuff way back there. Seriously you will have to either bend way over or get down on you knees to access your food and reach until your entire shoulder and more is inside the fridge not good at all. Next there simply is no bottom shelf on the door. You can try to place your items along the bottom edge of the fridge in front of the crisper doors and this will help you to recover some of your lost storage space but you will also have to move or slide those items to the side prior to opening the crisper doors not good. Next the clear rotating flip up door bin is made smaller than on the whit box fridges and you just cant place bowls in there with out great difficulty. Next the deli drawer or meat drawer has been deleted Unbelievable you can get yourself a tray or attempt as we did to place the actual meat drawer from our old fridge on the shelf but that just really sucks. Next the proportions of the freezer make it so that it really doesnt allow you to store much food without squishing all of the air out of every bag and carefully trying to place and retrieve items at great depth from that freezer not good. Overall the great depth of the unit makes it stick out very far from the wall and simply makes it a protruding appliance in your kitchen. Also the door does not have any clearance at the bottom when you swing it open and it will crush your toes. Not good especially with kids. Overall it does a good job of keeping food cold and it is stainless steel. Two more negatives: the freezer door tends to pop open when you close the fridge door which means you have to constantly be checking the freezer door by physically pushing it closed even if you never opened it not good. Also the condensing coils are not accessible for cleaning by popping off the plastic grille under the door and vacuuming as you would normally do yearly on the white box fridges instead it appears that you must pull the fridge out from the wall gonna be hard without wheels and the remove the back panel so that you can access the coils for cleaning again not good. Sorry there just is not much good that I can say about this product. After 8 months I bought a new white box fridge and gave this lg away to a needy cause.
