Good fridge but the inside compartments are cheap

Its a beautiful fridge and a nice size for a smaller fridge. But the plastic bins plastic compartments and slider plastic drawers tend to crack easily over time. Weve had to resort to supergluing certain plastic pieces together. If you buy a replacement plastic bin that will run you about $30-$60 each. I replaced 2 and since then it seems like something new is breaking every other month. Can get quite pricey.

Weve had our LG frig for nearly 10 years now. We never had a problem with it until last month. We called LG customer service and a technician was sent to our home within 2 days. We learned that the compressor malfunctioned and had to be replaced. The compressor was changed out the same day. Our refrigerator is once again operating like new.

The unit worked fine since it arrived in March 2023. On August 2 2024 I went to start breakfast opened the door of the fridge and there was no light. Evidently it had broken down. No idea and frankly a great disappointment. Talking with the LG assistant line was awful. No immediate help was offered only a suggestion to contact a repair service. The ones they suggested had no appointments until the next week or couldnt come to help. I have been without it for 13 daysSo I got an appointment for the same day. The person who came told us the diagnostic was a bad compressor and he offered to get the replacement and proceeded to get me to pay.

Turns out life is no longer good with LG

worked great for 5 years but at 5 yr and 3 weeks 3 weekss after the warranty for the compressor ran out of course the compressor died. I lost all my food and frozen food. VERY EXPENSIVE. There is a very large lawsuit over these compressors... They KNOWINGLY sold the malfunctioning items to the public and other refrigerator manufacturers. After being forced to give a credit card to get it repaired I find out all the information about the dysfunctioning compressors. The do not share their schematics for repairs by any other repair people so you HAVE to use LG trained repair people. Once I found out that the labor was to be extended by 6 weeks past the 5 yrs talk about planned obsolescence I cancelled my payment and they put it back through on my card because I should not have to pay for repairs on malfunctioning equipment that LG KNEW was not worth a dime after 5 years. I will join the lawsuit since the customer service is gaslighting me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

When I bought this French door refrigerator I was very happy. Unfortunately the insides of the door shelves did break and after 6 years the refrigerator freezer stopped working. This resulted a lot of defrosted food. I called LG customer service and they had no one that could come to fix it because of the area I lived in. I than called a private company who told me it would cost me more money to fix it that it wasnt worth fixing. So needless to say I had to buy another refrigerator. I am not happy with the lack of service with LG customer service or having after 6 yrs replacing it.

Well considering I lost all my food in my freezer in my refrigerator because of your faulty compressor that only lasts 3 years. Im not very happy.I also asked for a Food voucher and I had no response all three times. As far as the technician that came out to service and fix my refrigerator he was great.I give him five stars. Charged $450 for service man that was in my house for 10 minuets. Told me to unplug the unit and plug it back in in 24 hours. No parts required. This if the equivalent to $2700 per hour for service what a scam.

LG very accommodating to repairing however it took 3 weeks living with a dead refrigerator. Then within 6 months it died again. Im into my 2nd week without a response from my call. I bought this a few months ago and it is very noisy. I have asked for service and I was sent a text message that said these are the noises to expect from the refrigerator. I have another LG refrigerator marketed by Kenmore which is almost the identical model and it does not make noises like this new one does. I know the ice maker makes some noise when operating but when the ice maker is finished the fan or whatever part it is continues to make noise.

Very unhappy with every part of this except the tech that did repair. Starts with the refrigerator not getting cold enough. This cost me hundreds in spoiled food. Have my local appliance guy in. He says I see this all the time call LG should be under warranty. Well LGs failed parts are under warranty but the labor isnt. $600 for about an hours labor later Im wondering why the whole repair and the lost food isnt LGs responsibility. I mean doesnt LG supplying the failed part for free imply they know they have a substandard part? Last LG in my kitchen.

I bought this LG refrigerator in 2018. I t worked for 4 years. Since it has been more than 5 years I cannot get it fixed for free. It is sitting in my kitchen. The repairman said it would cost $1200.00 to fix it I said no I could buy a new one for that price.I will never buy a LG product again

Fridge was great but compressor died after 4 years of normal use. LG repairman chamged compressor now working but 4 years??
