LG technician couldnt fix Dryer issue for 4 month

Scared of LG dryer 7/30/2024

I bought LG washer dryer machine from Costco which comes with 24 months of manufacturer warranty in May 2022. I ran into a problem with the Dryer that clothes were not dried when run in normal cycle. Issue was reported in Feb 2024 which was under warranty. Since then I had to report for the same issue 4 times over the 4 months and each time the same poorly knowledgeable technician comes in gives various reasons like install issue duct not clearance etc. I spent $250 to get the entire duct system cleaned still the issue is not resolved. In the last scheduled Sevice technician didnt even show up. At the I ran of warranty period and lost a patience and trust with LG. Hence replaced the faulty Dryer with Samsung Dryer. It is very poor servicing technician and customer service. Loosing $1300 machine under 2 years is a poor reflection of LG machine and customer service.

We have had the DLE7300WE dryer for 3 years. It does a good job of drying clothes. However I have to use a combination of first using the automatic setting and then timed settings to completely dry the clothes.

Very pleases with my LG dryer. It drys my clothes very well. I have to admit I only use 1 setting and that works very well. I do understand there are alot of bells and whistles on the machine and have tried then all out and they are ausone however I just use the one setting. The door being able top to bottom or from the side is a very nice feature ascwell. I woukd buy the dryer again for sure

I bought this at the end of 2021 and just had to replace the mother board. Dryer lost all controls and would not stop running. Had to keep it u plugged until repaired. Ridiculous

Ive had it since 2019 and ran fine until it didnt. One day it quick working and diagnostic said nothing was wrong. We had to get a new dryer the cost to fix the motor would have been about the same. Disappointed I only got 4.5 years out of it.

I bought this almost 5 years ago and it has literally been the best investment I have made I can wash my California King quilts in it and no more laundry mat I am able to program the settings I like and set the auto start reminds me to clean it tells me whats wrong with smart diagnostics Overall great machine Moved to Indiana 2 years ago set it up and it was good to go The agitator just stopped working about a month ago and I have a extended warranty so I called and they are sending a repair person to fix it

Cheap Quality - Disposable Home Appliances

I bought this dryer a couple years ago. It has continuously had issues. This seems to be a theme among LG appliances as my previous LG dishwasher was absolute garbage as well. This dryer required multiple service calls within the warranty period to repair the control panel only to have severe internal dysfunction 1-2 years later. From my personal experience LG appliances are made to be disposable by design. If you enjoy replacing your appliances every few years this brand is absolutely for you

It is in use for the last 4 years and its still working. BUT ..... Because of the sensor dry feature the dryer stop the cycle before the laundry is completely dry. That happens most of the time doesnt matter how big is the load. For example when you put a blanket in the dryer the fluffy part gets warm but the blanket is still wet. Sometimes I have to restart the dryer 3 times. I started to hate the sensor dry. Other problem is when you put less laundry. I know its a big capacity dryer but it happens to all the people you wanna go somewhere and exactly what you want to wear is wet. I always put inside a towel too but if its a small quantity la laundry get stuck on the paddles which by the way are wider than at other dryers and in the end they are dry but completely wrinkled. LG was my favorite brand but not anymore. Its not the place here to tell about the problems with the washing machine LG that one too.

Not a Great Investment

I bought this dryer a little over two years ago and the lint tray housing and integrated sensors snapped in two. The official LG repair was hundreds of dollars. So far this has not been the best investment and has been inferior in quality to other LG products I owned in the past.

Too many d80 90 alarms and shutoffs

I have this dryer for 3 years now and have been continuously battling the flow sensor. Constantly get d90 alarms on automatic cycles. Have cleaned and replaced the vent and vent flexible duct. Had on LG tech come out and he said it was because we were using dryer sheets. The flow sensor or the setting in the firmware is too sensitive. We did not have issue with the previous dryer. Do not plan on buying on LG dryer again..
