I bought this to vastly improve my air cooling during the heat blast we can get in the east coast of USA, within Bronx,NY. After close to a week of ownership & usage I am AMAZED with the cooling, it's design is nice, But my only issue at the current time is the NOT at all working remote!! I will replace the battery to give that a shot but this is ludicrous for this to even happen.

Great AC, Poor Wifi App

The AC is great and quickly cooled my apartment. It's a little noisy but not annoyingly loud. What drew me to make this purchase was the WIFI and being able to control the unit through the Frigidaire app. That unfortunately is completely useless! I can't get it to connect or find the unit. The app is horrible and the ratings for it should have been telling. If you are making your decision based on the Wifi feature be warned. Like all of the others say, it doesn't work!

Good AC but Wifi doesnt work

I have tried everything and after reading lots of reviews this issue was common. I would have give the unit alot more stars if the wifi connection worked.

I was really excited to receive and install this air conditioner. Of specific interest, in fact the reason I went with this unit, was the WiFi connectivity and mobile app controls. Unfortunately the WiFi feature doesn™€™t work whatsoever. I™€™ve followed the instructions word by word multiple times using several different smartphones. None of them could identify the air conditioner™€™s supposed WiFi access point. The troubleshooting guide directs me to the Owner Support section on Frigidaire.com, but that™€™s a dead end. I tried calling the 800-number that the manual refers me to. The prompts led me down a path to another 888-number for Electrolux™€™s ™€œnearest™€ product support facility in Dallas, TX™€"I™€™m in Virginia™€"so I called that number™€¦an Electrolux answering machine picked up only to inform me that phone number is no longer in service! What?!?! Frigidaire/Electrolux, please get your mess together. It™€™s 2021. Meanwhile other companies are sending rockets to space and landing them safely on a platform in middle of the ocean™€¦you can™€™t get WiFi to work, your mobile app has 1.3-stars, and you send customers with issue right out of the box to a disconnected phone number?! My experience with this A/C is comedic at best, but appalling would be a more appropriate description. Perhaps this review may seem a bit ™€œextra™€, if you will, but if it leads to a positive outcome for myself and/or other suckers then it was worth the time to write it.

Not worth it if it costs more to repair than to replace

We got a unit in July of 2019, and this month I came home to a chemical smell coming from it. It seemed to be cooling still, so I didn't think it would be a refrigerant leak, so I turned it off, thoroughly cleaned the filter and the entire front panel, then put everything back together and still got a smell over the next couple of days. When calling customer service, the first person I spoke to was great, but we got disconnected. When I called back, the second person was rude, dismissive, didn't answer any of the questions, and essentially told me they couldn't help. I asked a supervisor to clarify my options and was told that a smell is not covered by warranty, despite not knowing the actual cause/problem. The price to have a technician come out and evaluate it, not even fix it, is almost the cost of just replacing the unit itself, which is less than 2 years old. We will not be going with any Frigidaire products from now on, given the issues and the poor service options.

We bought this A/C two years ago and in that time, the remote has never worked. We downloaded the app and upgraded the app that can be used to run the A/C and it will connect to wifi for only a few seconds before shutting off. Terrible Terrible. Buy something else! I never leave negative reviews, but a hunk of what you are paying for is the Wifi/remote capabiities and the don't exist.

A fantastic value for a contemporary look quiet AC with good features sets. Especially like the ability to control either manually, with the included remote, or via a very easy-to-use phone app.This is the second unit I'd bought for my office, and I can control both units (clearly labeled with the phone App) independently and remotely (like when I'm away from the apt on a hot day and want to turn on the unit when I'm on my way home.Only feature I can think of that I'd like to see updated is the temperature showing on the front of the unit. It automatically goes dark after a few seconds - it would be nice to have the option to keep this temp indicator on to be able to quickly glance to see where the temperature is set (and/or the temp in the room.All and all a very nice unit, well-priced and a real value for the money!

I bought this as a back up for hurricane season when the power goes out after a storm. Unfortunately my AC went out this summer and the HVAC tech could not fix it until 4 days later. We decided to use this unit for the first time. It worked amazingly well. I even synced this with WiFi and the Frigidaire app on my phone and controlled via my smartphone. I installed this in my living room and it was cold enough to cool the living room, dining room, kitchen, and closest bedroom. I would definitely purchase this again. Note: Very strong fan and not as noisy as previous units I™€™ve used from different brands. The vent is on top and at first I thought it wouldn™€™t circulate the air suffice to cool my room but I was wrong. Excellent product.

Damaged Unit

Although I love the look of the new unit and it does a great job of cooling, the unit I received was damaged. (this is actually the 2nd unit, the first one was dented and the company we ordered from replaced it with the current unit) The louvers on the unit do not move. Therefore the air is always pointed in the same direction. I have tried to contact Frigidaire and have not received a reply. I tried calling and you don't have any humans on board to answer and your website directed me to send an email. I sent an email on September 3rd, it is now September 21st and I have not received a reply. I'm not too happy with the customer service.

It was very hard for me to find a 10000btu AC that would fit in my small window. This is the only one that did. I like the fact that the air does NOT blow out the front into your face. This AC is near the kitchen table. The food stays hot too! The easy to remove grill is nice. The WI-FI is nice but it did take a call to support to get it working. I did NOT buy it for that feature but it can be nice especially in the afternoon when the sun pours on the back of the house where the kitchen is.If I forget to turn it on it can get real toasty in there. And if your away all day you can turn the AC on mid day instead of having to turn it on in the morning.

I've used this for 2 seasons in NJ and it has worked great. It cools a large bedroom area (and more) without making a lot of noise. The air flow is strong enough. And the Wifi feature is very convenient. I have had no problems at all with this. It was even easy to install, with everything you need to seal it in the window opening.

While the unit does look nice in the window it is woefully inadequate at doing the one simple job it was designed for.To start, my remote not only arrived unusable but the entire face of it fell off and won™€™t stay on. I thought it would be fine since I can use my phone as a remote. This also was a fail because the schedule I set in the app is not followed at all. I tired setting up a simple schedule of keeping my room at 72 degrees, but I end up at almost 80 degrees and then it turns on for five minutes and then back off again. So, I thought, "Fine. I'll remove the on-app schedule and just leave it set on 72 like an old-school unit and it still comes nowhere close to keeping the temp. One minute is 68 degrees the next it's 80 and the unit turns on and off without changing the temp in the room. It's like living with a 2-year-old trying to make up its mind! The latest fun is now the filter light. I read through the manual and watched a few videos even to make sure I wasn't missing something about turning the light off. I have cleaned the filter several times, unplugged, re-plugged, vacuumed the inside, gone in the app, and tired running it to see if it would go away after a few minutes but nothing will turn the filter light off. Everything I have seen say to push the filter button but there is no button on this model, just the light.I really didn't want to have to drag this 70 lb. mammoth back to the store for a return and now I'm passed my 30 days so it looks like I'm stuck with the world best looking yet worst functioning air conditioner invented!Buy something else!

My only issue is the remote arrived broken and I emailed support weeks ago about getting a replacement and have not heard from anyone. For the price I paid, I should be given a replacement.

Great A/C

Would have given 5 stars but the remote that came in the box does not work (even bought a new battery) and the app will not connect to my WiFi. Other than that, the A/C works great.

What can I say, it cools the room. Looks good while doing it. The smart functionality is ok, set up is typical for basic smart devices(not hard, but many steps) Knocked a star off for lack of home kit functionality needing the app to engage the air clean function

The Window AC Unit Ever

I bought this unit a year ago and we have been very happy with it. It™€™s the quietest window AC I have ever used. The design with the vent on the top really gets the air circulating around the entire room (and next two rooms) quickly. Lastly, the app that comes with the AC is really easy to use. I will buy this again if I need to replace other AC units in our home!

My husband and I bought these window units after a lot of research. We don™€™t love window units but these are great! They were easy to install. We set them up through the app which makes it so easy to adjust from anywhere! They cool down the room quickly and efficiently.

Great Air Conditioner

Terrible ac unit, even worst iOS app

Main problem: it is installed correctly in my window, yet drain pan drains indoors. Pice of trash. Lesser problem: the iOS app is terrible. It's slow, it's insecure and worst of all, the functionality is limited. For example I would like to schedule the unit from AC to FAN mode during the night, yet that's not possible.

I have two other units however, this unit is problematic, first it was very difficult to connect to WiFi.now it is on a schedule that I Did not program! It comes on at will! Especially when I don™€™t want it on!

Best Window AC Ever

I bought two of these last year and was very impressed with having a app that i can change the setting from anywhere but how much cooler temperature it was in my house since getting them while running eco mode but to my surprise my power bill actually went down compared to the year before. I love the look of them and they don™€™t look like the out dated window AC™€™s that are ugly that most other brands only sell right now and bought 2 more. (Tried buying a 3rd one but it came damaged and they weren™€™t getting more) I wish they didn™€™t discontinued/update them to a different style. These were perfect as is and better looking then what their next style is that™€™s not as modern and sleek in my option.
